Remove pilling
It is completely natural for wool garments to develop pills over time. How much depends, among other things, on how much friction the garment is exposed to and the type of knitting or surface it has. This does not mean there is anything wrong with the garment – it is a natural part of use.
Wool comb
Use a wool comb when you want to freshen up smaller areas of the garment. Always stretch or smooth the surface first and work carefully over the area where the pills are. It’s an easy way to tidy up the garment and give it a more even surface again.
Pilling remover
A pilling remover is suitable when you want to remove pills from a larger area. Make sure the surface is stretched and smooth before you start, so the treatment is even and gentle. Work carefully and let the garment get a quick refresh where needed.
About quality and friction
Pilling occurs when the garment is exposed to friction during use. Loose knits can be more sensitive than denser, felted wool.
