Felted merino is produced in a similar way to our other qualities of felted wool. The merino wool is first knitted and then carefully processed until the material achieves the density, weight, and feel we want.
Because merino wool is finer and softer than our regular wool, this quality has a softer and more supple character. At the same time, felting makes the material denser and more compact, with a completely different expression than knitted merino.
With a fiber fineness of 19.5 microns, compared to 26.5–27 microns for our regular wool, felted merino combines softness and structure in a distinctive way.
We only use mulesing-free wool.
